Howard Thurman was an elder, nature mystic, civil rights leader, and philosopher. Someone who cared deeply about the oppressed/marginalized and who’s been helpful in decolonizing my own spirituality.

It’s said that MLK carried a copy of Howards book “Jesus and The Disinherited” around with him.

One of my favorite things about him was his love of nature and how he talked to 🌳’s as a child, + was a “misfit”.
